About Mrs. Paulsen
Hi! My name is Stephanie Paulsen. I grew up in Mora and attended the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities where I completed my bachelors degree majoring in Agricultural Education and also received a Work-Based Learning Certificate.
I spent my first 5 years of teaching in southern Minnesota teaching a variety of classes; two years at Jackson County Central and three years at Dover-Eyota. In 2019, I moved to Isle with my husband, Travis, and we got married at Gooseberry Falls State Park. We own a small hobby farm just outside of Isle raising Red Angus cattle and Marans chickens in addition to our three leopard geckos, two cats, and Saint Bernard, Owen. I enjoy fishing year round and typically spend more time chasing crappies on hard water. In the summer, you can find me at county and state fairs checking out the livestock and open class projects. |
Teaching Philosophy
My classes will be where students get messy. I am a firm believer of "learning by doing" so many lessons in my classes will be project and lab based. It is my hope to create learning experiences this year that still allow for opportunities that follow Covid-19 safety guidelines for in-person and distance learning. We aim for career readiness and success! Community support is vital for the survival of rural areas and I hope to incorporate local businesses into aspects of all my classes. Expectations: Bullying, name calling, and outright rudeness will not be tolerated. Be Safe. Be Responsible. Be Respectful. Choose Kindness. |
